IFS Products

Integrated Fixation Systems Co., Inc., has developed a pollution prevention product line called IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE. These products work safely and economically to prevent heavy metals contamination from entering the environment. The IFS products are available in a number of different configurations such as coatings, powder additives, slurries, blocks, strippers, films, etc. All products that contain the IFS technology will be environmentally friendly “Green” and self-remediating.



 IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE LEAD OUT Paint Stripper

Successfully strips and stabilizes hazardous lead based paint
in a single application.

Allows for the paint to be removed from virtually any surface
safely and easily while significantly reducing the exposure to the
worker and the surrounding areas.

Some examples of locations that will have lead paint include
bridges, military equipment such as tanks, ships and other military
vehicles and the interior and exterior surfaces of older commercial
and residential buildings.

Allows for the transportation and disposal of the paint chip residue as a non hazardous waste providing significant cost savings.
 

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Metal Stabilizing Packing Chips

This IFS product is used in the packaging of metal containing products to prevent any leaking that might occur during shipment in the event that a product should spill or rupture. The RE-ME-DI-ATE packing chips will act as an absorbent as well as a treatment to ensure that there is no migration of the contaminants.
 

 

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Haz-Metal Blasting Additive

The IFS Blasting Additive is mixed with an abrasive abatement agent and applied using a high pressure spray system. The Additive will stabilize the heavy metal contaminant (lead, chromium or zinc) so that the residues are classified as a non-hazardous waste.

 


IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Laminated Bags/Sacks
 
The IFS laminated bag allows for the safe transportation and
Disposal of household items such thermostats, thermometers, and
Fluorescent light bulbs.
 
These bags are available in other sizes to fit products such as CPU
motherboards or computer chips.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Paint Encapsulant

The IFS paint encapsulant is used when paint strippers or
sandblast media are not used to remove the lead paint from its
surface.

The encapsulant is used to seal the existing lead paint thereby
preventing paint dust or chips from spreading into the environment.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Blocks/Spikes/Pellets/Tablets

These IFS products can be made into various shapes and sizes
depending on the application required. Their release can be
activated on factors such as moisture, time or pH.

Applications for the blocks include adding them to drum wastes,
placing them in the bottom of manholes to treat sludge or into
lagoons/pits and auto battery casings.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Bullet Trap Treatment

The IFS technology has been introduced by water dissolvable bags into
bullet traps used at gun ranges to remediate the contaminated water
Within the trap system. In addition, the technology treats the bottom
sludge that accumulates during the use of these traps so that both the
water and the sludge can be disposed of as a non-hazardous waste.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Liners

Liners are impregnated with the IFS reagents and can be released under
a number of different conditions such as breachment, time, moisture or
acidity.

Liners have been developed for hazardous and non-hazardous waste
landfills, drums, supersacks and waste disposal pits.



IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Battery Wrappers
 
These impregnated wrappers are used to surround the inner casing of a
Ni-Cd or lead batteries.
 
The wrappers will prevent any leaching of the hazardous metals contained
within the cell in the event it is breached or becomes corroded to the point
where leakage can occur.
 
The IFS wrappers do not affect the performance or longevity of the battery.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Film
 
IFS films are custom designed to fit around the outer surface of products such as electronic switches or cable wires that contain hazardous metals. 

The film can be adjusted in its size, thickness and the amount of IFS reagents that are contained within it to adjust for the amount of metals present.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Gels
 
The IFS Gel can be added to drains, sinks and piping in situations where
metal wastes are discharged into sewers.
 
The viscosity of the Gel can be adjusted to meet any type of collection
system.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Inks
 
IFS inks are screen print inks that are laminated onto the surfaces of
products that will come into contact or release hazardous metals.
 
These inks can be used in the manufacturing of electronic or computer
circuit boards, shrink-wraps or adhesive product labels.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Coatings
 
IFS Coatings create a protective laminate or barrier that prevents exposure to
the hazardous metal while simultaneously treating it.
 
Coatings are applied by using spray equipment with a fitted tip or mesh filter.
 
Some recommended uses of the coatings are inner surfaces of battery casings,
copper treated wood products and inner surfaces of mercury vapor lamps.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Capsules

These IFS capsules are degradable and custom shaped to fit into available spaces
where hazardous metals are located.

The capsules can be added to metal waste drums or fluorescent light bulb disposal
containers.

IFS RE-ME-DI-ATE Haz-Metal Spill Additive

This IFS Additive can be mixed with a floor sweep agent to remediate any hazardous heavy metal contaminants encountered during the cleanup of spills or maintenance of a facility such as a motor pool. The waste material passes the TCLP test and can be disposed of as non-hazardous.
